Wave control and Manipulation by Acoustic/Elastic Metamaterials


I. Asymmetric wave transmission in Acoustic/Elastic Metamaterials

A diatomic acoustic/elastic metamaterial with large asymmetric wave transmission is proposed and verified by theoretical analysis and numerical modelling. This passive system does not require any frequency conversion, wave diffraction or external energy, which is vastly different from the previously reported works.
